2024 FHPW President's Message

Happy New Year to our Members of the FHPW,

I'm honored to serve as the 2024 President for the Federation of Houston Professional Women. Michelle Moreno FHPW President 2024I am filled with immense gratitude and excitement for the journey that lies ahead.  As we embark on this journey, I'm excited to foster unity, which is our strength. FHPW is a diverse organization, enriches relationships and helps members achieve their aspirations. As we progress, we'll continue to connect, inspire, and empower each other.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our member organizations and our FHPW 2023 Board of Directors. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to our organization have been instrumental in our success. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for your contributions.

As we step into 2024, our theme is "Unifying Leadership and Passion: Fueling Positive Change." In 2023, I witnessed firsthand how collaboration and support can bring about positive changes. This year, I am committed to keeping this momentum going and I am confident that together, we can make a significant impact.

I am excited about the journey that lies ahead of us. I am confident that with our shared leadership and passion, we will continue to fuel positive change in our communities and beyond. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the Federation of Houston Professional Women.

Our History

The Federation of Houston Professional Women began in September 1981 and was officially chartered by State of Texas in May 1982 as a non-profit, non-partisan business league. Our first Woman of Excellence Gala was held in 1982. We are in our 40th year as an organization and we have honored over 2, 400 Women of Excellence. Our history of connecting women in friendship, providing career and leadership opportunities, promoting networking and educational events, and unifying women’s organizations has enriched thousands of women’s lives.
