Nayab Contractor photoNayab Contractor is in venture capital, focused on Fintech, AgTech, E-commerce, ESG, and Decarbonization. She has over a decade of experience working in television and broadcast media with leading conglomerates in various roles with expertise in Brand & Marketing.

An entrepreneur, she founded Bohra Pantry, a brand of spices for Bohra cuisine in the USA. Also, co-founded Indian Food Trail, a food-tech platform that provided micro-entrepreneurship opportunities to Indian women who could serve their food to customers in their homes, allowing users to try a variety of regional Indian cuisines. For every meal sold through the platform, they donated a meal to a child in need.  Nayab believes that entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds are building unique solutions to diverse problems and representation in VC is critical to their success. She was granted a global fellowship through Included VC and was recognized amongst the top 3% of global applicants and forty-one nationalities.

She volunteers on the board of the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW), actively supports women of color and women-centric organizations, and was recently awarded ‘Woman of Excellence 2022.’ She was also recently recognized by the Texas Business Hall of Fame and awarded the T.T. & W.F. Chao Award.

She is currently pursuing her MBA at C.T. Bauer College of Business is Vice-President of Professional Development of the Finance Club and was Vice President of the Bauer Graduate Women’s Network.
