Jennifer McGuire – Special Events Director
Jennifer McGuire received her Bachelor of Science degree, in Political Science, with a Minor in Accounting, from Texas A&M University. She began her career as a Financial Consultant with Decker & Associates, working with oil and gas companies to promote their retirement benefits to prospective hires. Her specialty was going to colleges around the country helping graduating seniors on how to “Select a Job Offer”. She also did Retirement Planning workshops around the country.
After becoming a Financial Consultant, she became an entrepreneur and had her Texas Real Estate License in the early 2000’s and had a successful Stamped Concrete Business with her husband.
She then moved with her husband around the country and stayed home and raised her children for 10 years. During that time, she became involved in various PTA’s by becoming President, Treasurer and Secretary at her children’s schools. She also did volunteer work with her church.
After coming back to Texas six years ago, Jennifer is now a Senior Accountant with NewLight Healthcare. She handles all the daily and monthly accounting records for several Districts of Rural Hospitals and Nursing Homes, in Texas.
Jennifer started her volunteer work in Houston with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committees over the last six years. She was also Treasurer for the Federation of Houston Professional Women Educational Foundation for three years. Currently, she is the Marketing Director for the AFWA Houston Chapter, and now the Special Events Coordinator for the Federation of Houston Professional Women, for 2023.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two children, her husband, and her friends in Aggieland going to football games and tailgating, traveling, dancing, or drinking wine and listening to live music. On the side, she also enjoys planning events for the organizations she is involved with.
