Anita Long – Programs Director
Anita Long Is a documentary filmmaker, publicist, and digital media marketing consultant. She has an extensive background in project management, film production, and fund development for the business and non-profit sectors.
Founder of Long Films Studio and the Ink Spots Museum, and former president of Women in Film and Television Houston; as a film director/producer, she has been awarded medals from the Smithsonian Institutes Permanent Research Collection and has been awarded for “visionary use of information technology to effect positive educational, political and economic change in society”.
Her films are preserved in the Library of Congress in over 30 museums and libraries nationwide. She is the editor of International Focus Magazine, which provides a platform for cross-cultural understanding. She interviewed over 400 community people in Washington County Brenham TX. Documentary project intended for PBS.
She is a two-time VP for the Federation of Houston Professional Women. Anita is a also Commissioner for the Texas Music Hall of Fame, Texas Music History Trail®.
Ms. Long is a certified International Baccalaureate (IB) Film educator and the HCC Film Advisory Committee HCC Media Arts & Technology Center of Excellence, Filmmaking & Music Business, Houston TX.
