The Federation of Houston Professional Women and the FHPW Educational Foundation holds this annual event to honor outstanding business women from our member organizations and to raise funds to support scholarships for women in our community. FHPW, founded in 1981, is a powerful force in the city and is presently the fifth largest professional organization in Houston.  It is comprised of over 50 professional business women organizations, with over 5,000 members focusing on education, networking, specific careers and community service.  The FHPW Educational Foundation awards scholarships and gifts to aid and advance the education and knowledge of women in the community.

Room Reservations:  The Federation has reserved a block of rooms at the rate of $119 for the evening of the Gala.  This rate is available through August 25th, and then it is based on availability.  To book a room at this special rate, click this link to go to the Hilton web site.  If you have questions, contact the Hotel Liaison, Amanda McCalla at amccalla717@yahoo.com.

Parking:  Hilton garage parking:  $6.00.  Valet parking:  $13.00.  Hosted parking available to Women of Excellence only (this requires a parking sticker from Hotel Liaison or Gala Director).

Request for Volunteers - 2010 Women of Excellence

In an effort to prepare for the 2010 WOE Women of Excellence Gala Event; we request your time and assistance. We are currently seeking assistance in various capacities. If you have an interest to volunteer and/or know of someone, please contact Gala Director, Julia D. Mercer via email gala@fhpw.org or Linda Drummond at linda@drummondpr.com. Currently we require assistance with the following items:

Hospitality – Perhaps a Member Organization will consider their organization heading the position.
