Delegate Responsibilities

Attend FHPW quarterly business meetings. Network with guests and other delegates. Vote on business at hand. Report on meeting to your organization Gather information from web-site www.fhpw.org calendar of events and distribute.

Promote your organization's meetings by posting on the website calendar. Special events can be promoted through the e-news group. Member vendor tables are available for $10 at quarterly meetings to display brochures and flyers. Encourage all members to utilize Federation web-site. Ensure that delegates and other interested members are part of the FHPW e-news group. Send e-mail address to www.egroups.com/group/fhpw-news to subscribe. Educate yourself about the Federation. Educate alternate delegates, so they will be effective substitutes for a delegate. Federation history and bylaws are on the website.

Represent your organization at FHPW quarterly meetings. Membership in FHPW may be terminated if organization has no Delegate or designated Alternate present at two consecutive General Meetings. Serve on a committee or run for office, especially one in which you have special interest or expertise. Adhere to deadlines. There are penalties for late membership dues and quarterly meeting late registration fees. Participation cannot be allowed if deadlines are missed for the Women of Excellence awards gala. Inform FHPW directors and officers of your organizations concerns and questions.
