With the first of the year comes time for FHPW (Federation) membership renewal. One of the 2012 goals is to establish a more efficient, simplified communication channel between the Federation and its member organizations. Consequently, information requested during the renewal process is different from that of previous years. Please note the following changes:
Delegate information is no longer requested during the renewal process. Instead we request that each member organization identify one person in its organization to be the primary point of communication with the Federation.
In 2012 Sherry Grantham, Federation Data Base Director, will be the Federation's designated point of communication. Send communication to communication@fhpw.org and she will circulate it to the appropriate Federation Board member(s).
Action Items
Consult with your organization to determine your communication person. This may be a delegate, the President or whomever your leaders believe to be fit for the position.

FHPW Initiatives for 2012
Membership Initiative - to broaden the membership base both in number and industry diversity. The Membership Director will be assisted by a Membership Initiative Team.
Communications Initiative - to establish an efficient, simplified communication channel between the member organization and the Federation. The Communication Initiative Director will be assisted by a Communication Initiative Team.
Bylaws Initiative - to renew and simplify the bylaws and ensure that they represent the Federation's mission and purpose. Once approved by the FHPW Executive Board, the bylaw changes will be offered for approval by the member organizations at a FHPW Quarterly meeting. A related secondary initiative is to revisit the Standing Rules.
